Coleman Medal fancy Charlie Cameron has sent a scare through the Brisbane Lions camp after appearing to hyperextend his knee during Saturday night’s game against the Western Bulldogs.

Midway through the fourth quarter, Cameron leapt high for a mark before landing hard on his left leg and appearing to hyperextend it.

Cameron immediately clutched at the knee and looked in significant pain.

Round 11

Trainers rushed to Cameron immediately and began helping him off the ground, before Cameron began to move without assistance towards the interchange bench, despite still hobbling.

Promisingly for the Lions, Cameron looked better and better as time went on. He did some run throughs on the boundary line and appeared to be moving a bit more freely.

Cameron returned to the ground with heavy strapping and looked like he was near his full range of movement, before the Lions took him back off the ground once the result was certain.

He had an ice pack on his knee post-game.

The Lions have a six-day break before facing North Melbourne at Metricon Stadium in Round 12.
