Darcy Moore is in danger of missing the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury.

It can be revealed that Collingwood’s star defender has suffered a Grade 2 PCL injury.

It is the same severity that has sidelined Essendon midfielder Andrew McGrath for 8-12 weeks.

Moore was scanned today and will now face a race against time to make it back before the end of the year.

The injury to the 2020 All-Australian stopper is a cruel blow to a Collingwood side that saw Nathan Buckley off in style with a shock win over ladder leaders Melbourne.

The Pies have won their last two matches after getting within 10 points of Geelong and one point of Port Adelaide.

Moore has been a critical part of the resurgence after being trialled as a forward earlier in the season.
