The AFL has announced the 2020 season will resume on June 11 after it was shut down in March due to COVID-19.
Teams will return to full contact training on May 25th.
Adelaide, Port Adelaide, West Coast and Fremantle will begin the season in a quarantine hub on the Gold Coast for at least four weeks, thanks to the strict border restrictions put on by their respective states.
The Eagles and Dockers will complete the pre-season training block at their home bases before relocating interstate prior to first match.
The Crows and Power will need to relocate interstate before May 25 when full contact training will begin for all 18 clubs.
Teams in Victoria and New South Wales will operate under strict rules but will not be placed in hubs.
The CEO confirmed that they will release further details on what the fixture will look like next week.
McLachlan confirmed players will be tested for COVID-19 twice per week ongoing.
