Delisted former Eagle Jarrod Brander will continue his AFL career with Greater Western Sydney, according to Fox Footy’s Tom Morris.

Brander searched for a new club during the recent AFL Trade Period – with West Coast’s blessing – but couldn’t find a suitor, prompting the Eagles to delist the utility.

He will reportedly join the Giants as soon as next Wednesday when the delisted free agency period opens.

The 22-year-old struggled to break into West Coast’s best team and was often played out of position on the wing.

He managed 22 games in his four years at the club.

His manager, David Trotter, confirmed in early October that Brander sees himself as a second or third tall forward.

“I think ideally (he is) that tall forward, he’s not big enough to be your number one key man, but as a second or third tall forward,” Trotter told AFL Trade Radio’s Trade Exchange.

“I think the stuff on the wing has really built up his tank and his running is elite for a player of his size.”

The Giants lost tall forward Jeremy Finlayson during the trade period and Brander’s inclusion will provide depth in that position.

Clubs are allowed to sign delisted free agents from November 3 to 10 and from the 11th to the 15th.
