North Melbourne has launched a fresh bid to prise Adam Simpson out of West Coast, according to The West Australian.

The report states that Simpson, who played 306 games for North Melbourne, has recently been approached, but West Coast remained confident he would stay at the club.

The Roos remain anchored to the bottom of the ladder, having won just one game this season as pressure continues to mount on current coach David Noble.

Geoff Walsh has recently been brought to advise the struggling club’s football department, with the veteran administrator to spend the next month assessing list management as well as helping on match day.

Simpson is currently contracted at West Coast until the end of the 2024 season, having already rejected North Melbourne’s approach in 2019 before the club ultimately appointed Rhyce Shaw.

Simpson famously lead the Eagles to a premiership in 2018, prevailing over Collingwood in a memorable Grand Final.
