Darcy Fogarty began his 2019 season down back for the SANFL Crows, learning his craft in defence.
In Round One against Sturt, he collected 18 disposals, 10 rebound-50s and six marks in his first game as a key defender.
Midway through the season, he returned to the forward line, kicking 12 goals to go with 219 disposals, 75 marks and 33 inside-50s for the season.
The 20-year-old earned a senior called up in Round 20, where he remained for the final four games of the season.
He kicked a goal and recorded five inside 50s against St Kilda, before kicking an impressive five goals against then reigning premier West Coast in Round 21.
With the AFL side finishing outside the top eight, Fogarty returned to the SANFL for the finals series.
He shined in the side’s preliminary final clash with Glenelg, slotting two goals from 15 disposals, five marks, five clearances, four tackles and four inside-50s.

Round 21 v West Coast Eagles
Fogarty had a breakout game in Perth, kicking a career-best haul of five goals against the Eagles.
He had his eye in, kicking four goals from set shots, while also snapping one in front of goal after collecting a ground ball and sidestepping around two opponents.
The forward also finished with seven marks, 12 disposals and three inside-50s.
