Carlton forward Jack Martin will miss another five to six weeks and enter a conditioning block, the club has revealed.

Coming into the season with a knee injury, Martin injured his hamstring last week and will now miss the first chunk of the season.

Jesse Motlop, who overcame a toe injury last week and then suffered a low-grade hamstring strain, will miss up to three weeks, while David Cuningham, who hurt his calf last week, will also miss three games.

Caleb Marchbank has been ruled out of Gather Round with a concussion he suffered on Good Friday as well.

In better news for the Blues, Sam Walsh has returned to full training with reports he could be back in the mix as soon as next week.

Carlton takes on Fremantle at Adelaide Oval this week in a battle of undefeated teams.
