A number of new faces will get a chance to push for Round 1 opportunity when the AFL’s official practice round kicks-off on Thursday night.
Carlton and St Kilda will battle in the first match of the one-week AAMI Community Series with all teams remaining in their home state for the games due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Fans will get a chance to see plenty of new names with Adam Saad (Essendon), Zac Williams (GWS Giants) and Jack Higgins (Richmond) among those who will feature in Thursday night’s match.

Saad and Williams’ addition is set to boost Carlton’s attacking prowess in 2021 as the club searches for a return back into the top eight, with the pair impressing in a trial match with Essendon last week.
Higgins already made an impact in the red, white and black as the Saints demolished the Kangaroos last week, booting multiple goals.
