Sydney defender Ollie Florent has recommitted to the club, signing a five-year extension.

Florent was one of a few Swans set to be in demand come the end of the season, including the likes of Logan McDonald and Will Hayward.

However, he joins Errol Gulden and James Rowbottom in committing to the club long term in 2024.

The 25-year-old will play his 150th game this weekend for Sydney and has been a regular in the senior side since 2018.

“Being here for the next five years, that’s something that’s really special to me and my family,” Florent told the club’s website.

“I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to be at this footy club. It’s a great bunch of boys, great coaching staff and just a beautiful place to be.

“Ultimately, I want to win a premiership … I want to be playing, be healthy, play my role, doing the team stuff and getting the wins on the board.”
