22-year-old Hawthorn midfielder Will Day will play his first game of the season after recovering from a pre-season foot injury.

The return of Mitch Lewis in Sam Mitchell’s forward line also shapes to bolster the Hawks, who excluded rebounding defender Massimo D’Ambrosio (managed) and young onballer Henry Hustwaite (omitted) at selection.

John Longmire’s Swans, on the other hand, are unchanged after trouncing the Gold Coast Suns at home last Sunday.
