Gun Eagles defender Tom Barrass will fight his one-game ban for a rough conduct charge at the tribunal on Wednesday.

Barrass was cited for a dangerous tackle on Docker Michael Walters in last week’s western derby, with the incident graded as careless with medium impact and high contact.

Speaking after West Coast’s 37-point upset win over Fremantle, Eagles coach Adam Simpson said he couldn’t resist making a “good guy” case for Barrass after Charlie Cameron’s contentious tribunal win last week.

Toby Greene ban UPHELD at Tribunal | 01:06

Cameron had his one-match ban for a dangerous tackle downgraded to a fine last week, after leaning on the Lion’s “exemplary” record in its argument.

“I didn’t catch it all. I can’t really comment on it,” Simpson said of the Barrass incident.

“But I hope he gets off. He’s a good guy.”

If the ban is upheld, Barrass will miss West Coast’s clash with the Suns at People First Stadium this Sunday.

It comes after a busy Tuesday night at the tribunal, which saw Jesse Hogan get off his ban, while Toby Greene’s suspension was upheld.

The Barrass case kicked off at 1pm (AEST).
