Fremantle has received a big boost ahead of Saturday night’s 58th Western Derby against the West Coast Eagles, who aim for a second consecutive win.

The Dockers (3-2, 122.3%) have welcomed back ruckman Sean Darcy for his first game of the season to play alongside star hybrid Luke Jackson.

Meanwhile, the Eagles (1-4, 65.0%) included Dom Sheed for his first contest of 2024 as they rebound from their first win of the season last Sunday against Richmond.

Fremantle, who rebounds from back-to-back narrow losses at Adelaide Oval, also recalled Sam Sturt in place of Sam Switkowski (concussion) and Matt Taberner (managed).

For the Eagles, Luke Edwards goes out of Adam Simpson’s side after suffering a concussion against the Tigers.

Sheed built his match conditioning via the WAFL in recent weeks and makes a timely return in place of Edwards.

The match gets underway at 6:10pm AWST/8:10pm AEST from Optus Stadium.
