The teams are officially in for the Round 5 clash between St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night.

Both teams enter this clash at 2-3 after teasing starts to the campaign. The winner will leave this game feeling good about their campaign, while the pressure will no doubt he heaped onto the loser.

For the Saints, Zak Jones comes in for the injured Max King, while the Dogs are without Jamarra Ugle-Hagan for personal reasons as Riley Garcia and James Harmes also come into the side replacing the concussed Tom Liberatore and omitted Oskar Baker.

The Dogs also continued to overlook Caleb Daniel who is listed in the emergencies.

SEN Sportsday’s Brad Johnson and Gerard Healy reacted to the teams being released on Wednesday night and discussed the use of Bailey Dale who was named in the 23 after coming on as the sub last week.

Johnson: “Dale will stay in. Whether he starts a sub again or whether they maybe have Garcia or Harmes start in that role and Dale gets a crack at it, we'll wait.

Healy: “You can't make him two games in a row.

“Otherwise, you're saying to him, you're going to the seconds.”

Johnson: “Well, that's right. So, it basically, is a huge game for him, isn't it?

“If he just gets a full crack at it and doesn't succeed, then the reality is that the following week, he will be in the seconds. You're not going to go back to sub again. I think Harmes or Garcia can play that role anyway.

“Garcia has been in good form (in the VFL), so it’s a bit of an awkward one because you've got a player who's had 36 (disposals) a couple of times in the twos.

“Do you bring him in and start him a sub, or do you bring him in and start him and give him a crack?

“I would personally lean towards bringing a player like that to give him first crack at it, because he's in fine form.

“You don't want to then bring him on after half-time or at the end of the third quarter, I wouldn't have thought.”
