Which players should have been given coaches votes for their Round 6 performances?
Champion Data’s Daniel Hoyne has named the five players who were perhaps overlooked by the coaches on the weekend.
The below guys rated in the top five of Champion Data’s ratings yet did not receive any votes (aside from Harley Reid who got five but should have got more).

Jack Macrae (Western Bulldogs)
“Didn’t get a vote but was the fifth highest rated player on the ground,” Hoyne said on SEN’s Sportsday.
“I like the role – 60 per cent forward, 12 score involvements, impacts the game.
“A very similar role to what he played in the 2016 premiership year.”
George Hewett (Carlton)
“Didn’t get a vote but was the third highest rated player on the ground.
“That was his highest rated game in two years. He did it a different way, with only one tackle, but his ability to be able to impact with ball in hand.
“He had 31 disposals and then got involved in 10 scores. He’s a really good player.”
Jack Bowes (Geelong)
“Second highest rated player on the ground and the highest rated game of his career.
“I thought he was really influential when he went behind the ball in the second half once Tom Stewart went down.”
Harley Reid (West Coast)
“He got five votes from the coaches. I couldn’t believe he didn’t get best on ground.
“That was the most impactful 19-disposal game we have seen by a midfielder in 11 years. Daniel Rich played as a midfielder in a game in 2013, had 19 disposals and impacted just like Harley did.
“In terms of the gap between the highest rated player on the ground to the second, it was the second biggest gap in any game this year.
“And he still didn’t get there (for 10 votes).”
Matthew Roberts (Sydney)
“Matty Roberts across the half-back flank.
“He didn’t get a vote but was the fifth highest rated player on the ground.
“He is currently the eighth best kick in the competition.”
